Carnival 11 - 20 July 2025 "Tell Us a Story"
It's easy to donate to the Lions Club of Tavistock - just click on the 'donate' link above!
This fundraising project was started in 1999 when the club agreed with Tavistock Town Council to erect a large Christmas Tree on the front of the Town Hall which would be covered in lights sponsored by members of the public in memory of departed love ones.
Over £150,000 has been collected to date. It has become so popular that the number of trees has been increased to three to cater for all the light bulbs.
With the Lions Club of Tavistock being a registered charity, Gift Aid can be applied to all your donations, giving an extra 25% for our chosen charities!
The Trees of Light will be turned on at a short service at 7.00pm on Thursday 5th December in Bedford Square. Hot chocolate and mince pies will be served.

The Trees of Light were a fantastic success in 2020 with nearly £13,000 raised by sponsorship and sale of Christmas Cards. We sent out presentation cheques to the 3 recipient organisations because of the pandemic and asked for a photograph - here are the lovely photos we received back! Each organisation received £3,000.
