Social Events

Our Lions' Charter Night is our Birthday Party!  In recent years we have held it in the Tavistock Town Hall.
Our most recent Charter Celebration was on February 29th 2020 with 130 Lions and Guests.
What a great night it was!  We use Oaktree Occasions for our catering.  Click on the link to hear Jo talk about how they set up the evening.

Our next Charter Night is planned for Saturday February 27th 2021

Social Events are about having fun together - here are the events we have enjoyed since last Summer:

Sunday 21st July   After Carnival Bash

The After Carnival Bash is following the same format as the last couple of years with a barbecue at the Tavistock Inn starting at 2.00pm

Saturday 3rd August   River Dart Round Robin

The itinerary is:

The boat leaves Totnes at 10.00am. The departure point is Steamer Quay. (From the Plains go over the bridge, first right and right again. There is a Pay and Display car park adjacent to the quay).

The boat trip to Dartmouth is approximately 90 minutes.

There is time to look around Dartmouth (coffee/lunch/retail therapy etc) before taking the ferry across the river to Kingswear in time to catch the train at 15.10.

The journey time is approximately 30 minutes, which gives us an hour or so before catching the open top bus back to Totnes at 17.15.
